International
Integrated Logistics Services

The international integrated logistics services (IILS) status is granted to logistics companies that possess the capacity to provide comprehensive and streamlined logistics solutions, covering the entire value chain from start to finish as a unified entity on either a regional or global scale, signifying their proficiency in offering end-to-end logistics services, inclusive of door-to-door delivery.

Companies meeting the eligibility criteria have the opportunity to apply for the IILS status. Following the approval process, successful applicants will be granted the Freight Forwarding Agent/Customs Agent license by the Royal Malaysian Customs Department.

Infusing Supply Chains
with ESG Principles

As per the International Energy Agency (2019), the transport sector ranks second in CO2 emissions in Malaysia, following electricity and heat production. Companies must swiftly adopt ESG strategies to optimise their logistics networks in response to these emissions’ adverse effects.

Examples of ESG elements currently integrated into Malaysia’s logistics sector comprise green building index warehouses, solar PV panel installations, smart lighting, and rainwater harvesting systems. Further ESG initiatives involve heightened adoption of electric material handling equipment, such as electric forklifts for warehousing, e-trucks for daily transportation, and electric container handling equipment at port facilities.
