Negeri Sembilan expects to contribute about 15 per cent to the nation’s gross domestic product (GDP) through the implementation of the Malaysia Vision Valley 2.0 (MVV 2.0) project, said Negeri Sembilan Menteri Besar Datuk Seri Aminuddin Harun.
He said the state government has applied to the Federal government to give priority to infrastructures such as roads, pipes and other facilities, including the construction of an exit route to the new Nilai-Labu road.
“The matter has been raised during a discussion and meeting involving several ministries, including the Finance Ministry and the Works Ministry,” he told a press conference after the Exco meeting at Wisma Negeri here, today.
Aminuddin said the state government had also discussed on the development of the MVV in other areas, such as in Port Dickson.
MVV 2.0 is a long-term development plan for Negeri Sembilan; envisioned to be a world-class metropolis driven by public-private partnerships.
The project encompasses 153,411 hectares of land, covering the districts of Seremban and Port Dickson.
It focuses on four economic drivers, namely the high-tech industry, the services and tourism industry, the skills-based education and research sector as well as the Special Services Industry or activities related to logistics, aviation and maritime hubs.
