IGEM 2021 Goes Virtual, Join Us Live!

The International Greentech & Eco Products Exhibition & Conference Malaysia (IGEM) is the largest trade event for green technologies and eco-solutions in South East Asia. IGEM continues to be a highly anticipated event for solution providers and green energy businesses to showcase their latest innovations to policymakers, governmental organisations, investors and the mass market.

While the adverse impact on health and the economy is unfortunate, the pandemic can be viewed as a game-changer in adapting to a new norm. This year, IGEM 2021 is organised by the Ministry of Environment and Water (KASA) in collaboration with the Malaysian Green Technology and Climate Change Centre (MGTC). The Malaysian Investment Development Authority (MIDA) and the Malaysia External Trade Development Corporation (MATRADE) are the event’s strategic partners.

IGEM 2021 will be virtual from 1 July to 31 December 2021 and accessible 24/7 by anyone across the globe.

IGEM 2021 has adopted the theme ‘Redefining Sustainability’ as it most aptly describes Malaysia’s commitment, direction and efforts to promote sustainability. The event invites all stakeholders to also review sustainability in a new perspective towards existing and evolving impacts of climate change, particularly in the face of the COVID-19 pandemic. This will be an opportunity for all stakeholders, both public and private, to progressively continue their marketing and promotional activities despite travel and social restrictions. 

During IGEM 2021, MIDA will be sharing information on investment opportunities in the green technology sphere during the pocket talk sessions. It will feature updates on the latest government policies, incentives, facilities and support services available for local and foreign investors in the green technology industry. MIDA is also pleased to share the InvestMalaysia portal, which is MIDA’s latest single gateway portal to access applications: https://investmalaysia.mida.gov.my/EIP/InvestMalaysia.aspx  

Throughout the virtual IGEM 2021, participants will have the opportunity to connect with MIDA directly. Physical meetings between companies and MIDA can be arranged upon request later, with strict adherence to current standard operating procedures.
