On 2 December 2020, YB Senior Minister MITI has launched grant SAG under Malaysian Investment Development Authority (MIDA). The SAG initiative is part of the RM100 million allocations under the National Economic Recovery Plan (PENJANA) which was launched by the Government in June 2020.
The objective of SAG among others is to assist and incentivise SMEs and Mid-Tier Companies (MTCs) in the manufacturing and services sector to automate and digitalise their operations, production and trade channels. The SAG will be given on a matching basis (1:1) up to a maximum of RM1 million per company for capital investment in automation machinery / equipment / software.
In order to disseminate information on the grant to potential companies, MIDA had organised a webinar on 13 January 2021.
Below is the relevant information on SAG for your reference.
Note: Due to an overwhelming interest in MIDA SAG, the program has reached its fund capacity and is put on pause. MIDA is no longer taking new applications at this time and registration is closed effective 1 June 2021.
