Our Functions
- Plan, formulate and review policies, guidelines, strategic directions and action plans that are related to developing the manufacturing sector in Malaysia such as the industrial policy framework, manufacturing licence and incentives (fiscal and non-fiscal)
- Formulate and review policies, strategies and programmes for investment cooperation between Malaysia and other countries at the bilateral, regional and multilateral levels. This includes implementing and following-up on international investment cooperation initiatives, including liberalisation, facilitation and promotion
- Coordinate and prepare Malaysia’s Investment Performance Report and MIDA’s Annual Report, investment-related incentive and facilitation proposals for the Annual Budget Announcement
- Promote, facilitate and monitor the implementation of the Economic Accelerator Projects (EAP) along the East Coast Rail Link (ECRL) corridor via cooperation and capacity building with local and international investors to maximise its potential success
- Coordinate with ministries, agencies and local state authorities to address matters related to Economic Accelerator Projects (EAP) in the related states
