Cleanroon glove maker CE Technology announces RM50m capacity expansion

Taiping-based cleanroom glove manufacturer CE Technology Bhd is embarking on a capacity expansion at a cost of RM50 million.

In a statement today, the LEAP Market company said it would be adding three additional double-former glove-dipping lines to boost its raw nitirile glove capacity to 70.5 million pieces per month.

In addition, CE Technology will increase its cleanroom post-processing capacity to 83 million pieces of gloves per month via the addition of two new facilities.

The company said the facilities are expected to be fully functional in one and a half years.

The statement quoted CE Technology managing director and chief executive officer SS Teoh as saying that the company’s capacity is now running at its maximum.

“Almost all existing customers and new customers have increased their regular orders, with major customers committing to medium and long term contracts,” it added.

CE Technology shares were last traded at 90 sen today, valuing the company at RM311.50 million.
