Cyberjaya tech hub developer Cyberview Sdn Bhd is encouraging local and foreign tech companies to invest in Cyberjaya as the technology ecosystem in the city allows companies to localise their services and contents, and eventually expand their businesses.
Head of business, city and communications Roni Shah Mustapha said the Cyberjaya investment and service centre (CISC) by Cyberview is a one-stop centre that provides facilitation services on investment and business setups, all under one roof.
CISC offers services such as business setup facilitation, employment visa, and talent facilitation.
“We aim at turning the smart city into the preferred tech investment hub, equipped with resources, infrastructure, knowledge workers and many other services.
“Various initiatives are put in place to nurture and develop the tech industry, to meet the needs of investors and increase economic growth now and in the future,” he said in Cyberview’s live webinar titled: ‘Cyberview New Masterplan: Driving Growth for the Global Tech Hub’ today.
Roni Shah explained that the Cyberjaya Master Plan unveiled recently also focuses on forming a holistic technology ecosystem comprising commercial and digital activities.
Cyberjaya has been divided into four districts — North Cyberjaya, West Cyberjaya, South Cyberjaya and Downtown Cyberjaya — with a strong focus on the three new technology clusters namely smart mobility, smart healthcare and digital creative.
“These districts will propel Cyberjaya as the centre for tech innovation by providing a platform for creators and innovators to launch their businesses while creating an ecosystem that encourages synergy between companies from different industries,” he said.
He said West Cyberjaya is the centre to produce skilled talent, North Cyberjaya focuses on smart city solutions, South Cyberjaya is the centre for innovation for all three clusters, while downtown Cyberjaya focuses on the adoption of technology for commercial activities and integration into a community lifestyle.
Cyberview’s role as the tech hub developer allows new technologies to be developed, tested and piloted in Cyberjaya, he said.
“We encourage widespread access and adoption of technology among the Cyberjaya’s community, in line with our smart city roadmap,” he added.
