Maxis strengthens cloud solution capabilities with latest acqui-hire

In a move to strengthen its position as the converged solutions company, Maxis Bhd has announced the “acqui-hire” of Peering One Sdn Bhd, a local cloud solutions company specialising in hybrid and private cloud managed services.
The acqui-hire reinforces Maxis’ capabilities as a one-stop, end-to-end cloud solutions provider, with complete cloud offerings that address the full spectrum of business needs, the telco said in a statement today.
“The acqui-hire of Peering One is primarily for their pool of strong cloud professional specialists, customer base and market position, which will further boost Maxis’ capacity and capabilities to offer best-in-class Private and Hybrid Cloud solutions.
“The integration of Peering One into our team at Maxis is a big milestone in our journey to be the market-leading cloud solutions provider for our customers, and further deepens our domain expertise,” said Maxis chief enterprise business officer Paul McManus.
He also said that the acqui-hire is a reinforcement of Maxis’ commitment to supporting the government’s MyDIGITAL initiative to transform Malaysia into a regional leader in the digital economy, and in bringing the best of people and technologies to enable businesses and the nation to always be ahead.
Peering One has more than 10 years of experience in providing Managed Cloud and information and communications technology services to enterprise customers nationwide.
