Sabah attracted investments worth RM33bil in 2022, says Hajiji

Sabah’s investment value reached RM33bil in 2022, says Datuk Seri Hajiji Noor.

The Chief Minister added that Sabah also managed to collect RM7bil state revenue last year, surpassing its initial RM6bil target.

“This success is also the success of civil servants who have shown commitment and admirable work,” said Hajiji at a ceremony with Datuk Seri Anwar Ibrahim on Tuesday (Feb 28).

The ceremony is for the Prime Minister to deliver a mandate to the state and federal civil servants here

He thanked Anwar for allocating RM6.5bil for Sabah’s development under the federal budget and for the support and concern towards Sabah’s claims in relation to the Malaysia Agreement 1963 (MA63).

On the state’s Sabah Maju Jaya (SMJ) development plan, Hajiji said that it is in line with Anwar’s Malaysia Madani aspirations.

He added that he is confident Malaysia can become a prestigious and respected country under the dynamic leadership of Anwar.

Hajiji said that the public service is the government’s machinery to ensure state revenue grows and that it benefits the people and civil servants themselves.

“I hope all civil servants will be open and ready to face changes and challenges, in line with the current demands and not to remain comfortable with current achievements,” he added.
