Yenher Holdings Bhd, a manufacturer and distributor of animal health and nutrition products, has plans to export its products to 15 more countries in the next five years.
Group managing director Cheng Mooh Tat said various efforts are currently being undertaken to export its products to new markets, namely Bangladesh and Myanmar.
“We believe that we can expand the business to 15 more countries and now the company is actively conducting various promotions in the countries involved including showcasing our products. At the same time, efforts are also being made to increase sales for the local market.
“Currently, we have exported to 15 countries, including Indonesia, Hong Kong, Brunei, Belgium, Pakistan, South Korea, Nigeria, Thailand, and Vietnam, representing about 10 per cent of our total sales,” he said at a press conference here today.
Cheng said the company also plans to build a new manufacturing plant that complies with good manufacturing practices by the second quarter of this year, with its target completion by the third quarter of 2024.
He said with new machinery and equipment in the factory, the company would be able to increase its production capacity and be ready to meet higher demand for its products.
“The company can triple its production output, especially for animal feed products, as the existing factory has limitations to produce them in large quantities.
“The new factory will definitely help Yenher attract new customers and expand our customer base,” he added.
The group, which has been in business for over 20 years, has one manufacturing plant, a warehouse and an in-house laboratory for research and development with about 140 employees based in Penang.
