Post Invest Services
Post Approval/Post Licensing
MIDA’s Investment Compliance Division is one of the most critical element in the complete cycle of the Foreign Direct Investment (FDI) and Domestic Direct Investment (DDI) to promote, facilitate and assist manufacturing and services companies in the implementation and operations of their projects after the approval of manufacturing license and/or incentive.
MIDA via Investment Compliance Division evaluates post licensing applications under the Industrial Coordination Act (ICA), 1975, the Promotion of Investments Act (PIA), 1986 and the Income Tax Act (ITA), 1967.
For projects which have been approved with tax incentives, companies are required to submit Post Incentive Applications to MIDA to determine the Effective Date of the incentives and Verification of Compliance’s conditions before they can proceed to claim the tax incentive from the Inland Revenue Board (IRB).

Post-Investment & Infrastructure Support
In our endeavour to nurture the growth of foreign and domestic investment in Malaysia, MIDA through its Post-Investment Division (PostInvest) provides facilitation to companies to ensure a smooth implementation of their projects in Malaysia. This initiative gives the investors a “peace of mind” and promotes ease of doing business.
We offer the following services:
- Assist companies in the implementation of new projects
- Undertake periodic reviews of issues and formulate appropriate measures for the smooth operations of existing projects
- Acts as a mediator between companies and government agencies or other stakeholders
- Extend support for companies in their expansion, diversification and re-investment projects.
MIDA’s PostInvest function is well-supported by various agencies namely, Royal Malaysian Customs Department (RMCD), Tenaga Nasional Berhad (TNB), Telekom Malaysia Berhad (TM), Department of Labour and Immigration Department. MIDA is also well connected with Liaison Officers from other relevant Ministries and agencies such as the Department of Environment (DOE) and Department of Occupational Safety and Health (DOSH) to better facilitate companies in their business ventures in Malaysia.
The establishment of Project Implementation and Facilitation Office (TRACK) under PostInvest in MIDA is among the Government’s initiatives to boost the economy in response to the Covid-19 pandemic to accelerate the implementation of projects in the pipeline.
